Procedures

Prior to TerraBite Outing

Before organizations visit TerraBite, they should inform Campers:

That TerraBite has a website which contains a list of PC and video games. Knowing what we have saves time.
They are not permitted to bring backpacks, food (only water).
About proper attire (no bathing suits)
That they should pair up with a buddy (buddy system)
No gum, food, and drink permitted on gaming area

Arriving Procedures

Buses may drop off campers in front of building or TerraBite's rear parking lot (directly behind TerraBite Center). A camp representative should provide a head count of all Campers and counselors visiting. A TerraBite rep. will briefly review Rules, Regs., and procedures. If buses park in rear of center, campers should proceed up the driveway towards Wanaque Avenue in single file.

Once inside, TerraBite Director will address the campers (3 minute orientation). Immediately following, Campers may begin Gaming.

During Gaming

Campers will play for approximately 115 minutes. During that time, staff and *counselors will circulate making sure Campers are on task.

Periodically, staff will rotate Campers onto another gaming station promoting fairness, team play, and cooperation.

Campers should consult others before requesting a change of game. TerraBite has a list of games available for guest to review.

Departing Procedures

Towards the final minutes, the centers overhead lights will come on. Campers will organize their controllers and bring them back to the front desk. Campers wearing headphones are to gently place them on their workstation table, push in their chairs, and wait for further instructions.

All Campers will remain in the main cyber center until TerraBite's manager and Camp Director signals to depart. TerraBite Director will have a few closing words. Campers will exit through TerraBite’s rear emergency doors, through the buildings stairwell, and into the parking lot in single file. A TerraBite rep will accompany Campers onto bus and finalize a head count.
